Merchant City Stall

Being an online business, it’s no wonder that we really crave the face to face contact that other lucky retailers have every day. So…one of the ways we get our fix is by hosting Mukala stalls at craft fayres and events.

Our first ever stall recently took place at Glasgow’s Merchant City Square where an arts and crafts fayre takes place every weekend. It’s a lovely place surrounded by bars and restaurants and a captive audience.

The nicest thing about hosting a stall is getting to meet enthusiastic people and being able to tell our story about who we are and what we do.

It’s also an opportunity to showcase how beautiful our products really are, and many have told us you get a much bigger wow factor when you’re able to touch them and see them in the flesh.

What’s also nice is that we get to mix with other local businesses creating handmade products. Glasgow is a wonderful place for unique finds but I have to admit out stall stood out from the crowd as something that people have never seen before.

You can imagine how busy we were!

So here’s a picture of Mr Mukala and I doing our thing candidly captured by one of our customers. You can see we love a good gab and clearly…a hand gesture haha!

This October we’re trying out some new venues in Glasgow and Edinburgh and potentially London! If you’d like to see us at a stall or event near you then please let us know!
