JuJu Hats

Here at Mukala you might see the words ‘abundance’ and ‘manifest’ pop up a lot. And the reason why is not only authentic but inspiring. You see, not only are we home to amazing African art and home decor. In fact each of our items come from a historical background which is still celebrated today.

Let’s start by talking about the Juju Hat. Big, beautiful and vibrant, JuJu Hats have progressively become highly sought after decor statements for the home. Orginating from the Bamileke Tribe in West Cameroon, JuJu Hats are traditionally worn at special Royal events ans still continues today. They do of course make for gorgeous head wear but they are said and believed to bring prosperity, protection and good energy to those who come into contact with them. Who wouldn’t want a slice of that in their home ?!

Handcrafted with love (and tribal powers), our wonderfully skilled artisans use organically dyed natural chicken feathers, carefully sewn together into a raffia basket to provide our customers with the highest quality product.

Once you have chosen from our large range of colours, hang them individually or in clusters to create the ultimate wow factor. The possibilities are endless!

And despite the lengthly time it takes to create, we’ve come up with four standard sizes and price points, allowing everyone to receive all things positive from these cultural creations. What’s more is that we can customise your order if you don’t see what your looking for in our collection.
